After I graduate from college, I would like to be a nurse for the United States Air Force. I would like to be stationed in southern California, that way I am still close to home. In order to become an Air Force nurse, there are specific skills I will need to have. Some important qualities and skills a nurse should have are compassion, critical thinking skills, and emotional stability. These skills are crucial when being a nurse, especially one in the Air Force, because you are working with people who are depending on you to help them. A few of the responsibilities in a nursing career are to record patients' medical histories, communicate with doctors and other healthcare professionals, and to explain to patients what how to manage their illnesses/injuries.
